Hugo Sanchez: My Service Learning Experience
My experience was both fun and hard. I had to go and throw away dirt multiple times. Sometimes our bag of dirt would break and be a pain to throw away. I also had to dig some holes to make sure grass won't grow under the bricks/cement; I wasn't the only one who dug some holes, everyone helped us out and made sure we dug correctly. The other helpers were nice and helped us a lot: they gave us food, water, and gave us a few breaks when we were tired. We did all this to have an outdoor classroom; we believe having an outdoor classroom can help us in many ways especially in Biology when we learn our plants... we could have hands-on experiments.
